Greetings From IPACHA,

(Indian Peoples Alliance for Combating HIV and AIDS affiliated to Asian People's
Alliance for combating HIV & AIDS (APACHA) http://www.apachanet.org/

I take this opportunity to introduce IPACHA, a national civil society alliance
which was launched in Mumbai on 12th Feb 2009, to fight for the rights and work
closely with GO and INGO, UNAIDS and Global funding Agencies, with multi
sectoral approach.

IPACHA took shape to create a multi-sectoral linkages with all the individuals,
groups and organized sectors. The original concept was to connect with the
motivated Individuals and groups who are willing to promote this alliance to let
their voice heard to the decision makers of the country. Therefore, IPACHA exist
region vise, nation vise and also develop an International representation.

We have conducted 2 Executive Committee meetings till date in Mumbai and
Bangalore with ad hock committee under the leadership of Dr. Ashok Rau, CEO of
Freedom Foundation. The committee is as follows.

The 3rd Executive Committee meeting will be held in Delhi From 24th to 25th of
June at Gautam Residency in GK.1. We have invited leading NGOs based in Delhi to
participate in this meeting and strengthen the national alliance – IPACHA.

On behalf of the Alliance, I invite you to take part in this meeting as an
observer and request you to share your valuable inputs in the formation of such
alliance. Similarly, this will be a good opportunity to meet the faces of civil
society from across India. This will give impetus to our partners and motivate
to take this initiative forward and achieve the core of its objective.
