AIDS ASIA: Regional meeting to look at progress and challenges in
combating HIV/AIDS.
An expert Group Meeting on Progress on International Commitments to
Combat HIV/AIDS in the Asian and Pacific Region will be held in
ESCAP at Bangkok.
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the
Pacific (ESCAP) and UNAIDS are holding a joint meeting, "Progress on
International Commitments to Combat HIV/AIDS in the Asian and Pacific
Region", on 12-13 May, at the UN Conference Centre, Bangkok. The
meeting will identify common challenges in the Asia-Pacific region
with regard to HIV/AIDS and produce concrete recommendations which
will be presented to the UN High Level Meeting on AIDS to be held on
10-11 June
