Call for applicants: HIV/AIDS science communication workshop, 6-13
July 2004 Bangkok.

SciDev.Net is inviting science and health journalists and other
communicators living and working in South East Asia (Cambodia,
Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) to
apply for an eight-day workshop, jointly organised with UNESCO and
the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), on 'The use of information
and communication technologies for reporting on the science of
HIV/AIDS'.

The workshop will be held from 6 to 13 July 2004 at the AIT in
Bangkok, and overlaps with the opening of the 'International AIDS
Conference 2004' which runs from 11 to 16 July. Participants will
attend the conference to gain practical experience of skills learned
in the workshop.

Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for 20 participants
for the eight days. Those selected will be free to stay longer at
their own expense to cover the rest of the conference.
