C.G. Hospital is a Community Care Centre under samastha project.
Presently there is a vacancy for the post of counsellor.

The roles and responsibilities include:

•Responsible to address the psychosocial needs of the PLHIVs Provide
treatment education to caregivers, CLHIVs and their family members to
live a positive life
•Provide pre and post test counseling, follow up counseling, family
counseling, group counseling, child counseling, adherence counselling
ART counselling
•Social Case work and group work with PLHIVs, OVC, Destitute women
•Ensure PLHIVs are provided with optimal quality nutrition
•Liaison with team members to ensure holistic care for the PLHIVs
•Plan activities along with project coordinator
•Recording and documentation- counselling formats etc
•Facilitate the Support Group Meetings
•Exploring and developing Referral linkages around the district level
NGOs and service providers
•Organize peer groups & support groups
•Educate PLHIVs and family members of prevention interventions linked
with care and treatment
•MIS supervision & Psychosocial data entry

Required qualification:

Masters degree in Social work with at least one or more years
experience in the field of HIV/AIDS

Skill set:
Psychosocial Intervention skills(Counselling, Case work, group work
and work with community)
Computer Skills: MS office, Internet
Documentation skills

Language proficiency: English and Kannada

Female candidates will be given preference.

Salary: 6500 - 8500
