About SAATHII
Solidarity and Action Against the HIV Infection in
India (SAATHII), a registered non-profit organization, was founded with a vision
to stabilize and reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS in India and ensure that people
living with HIV/AIDS receive un-stigmatized, affordable and quality care,
support and treatment. Headquartered in
Chennai, it has branch offices at Kolkata and Hyderabad, and field offices at
Karur in TamilNadu, Bhubaneswar in Orissa and Jaipur in Rajasthan.
Position Summary:
Jagruti is a collaborative
project of Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) and the Women and
Child Welfare Department of the Government of Andhra Pradesh. SAATHII will be
providing technical assistance for this project. The broad project goal is to
integrate HIV/AIDS into the administrative and programatic domains of the Women
and Child Welfare Department. And it aims at mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS issues
into the programs of Women and Child Welfare Department through building
capacities of its officials, anganwadi workers and staff of Welfare homes among
others.
The project seeks to fill vacancies of Program Manager
and Technical Officer, expected with the following background and
deliverables.
Program Manager
The incumbent is expected with the following
background:
Post graduation in Social Work, Management or any other allied Social Sciences
with a minimum of two year working experience in Government settings.
Knowledge on Government functioning system, mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS, various
national and state schemes/programs
for adolescent girls, women and children, services under ICDS, Welfare
homes, HIV/AIDS programs etc.
Experience in demonstrated mainstreaming strategies, managing
trainings, developing communication materials, managing program finances, liason
with multiple stakeholders, onsite monitoring support will be additional
advantage.
Oral and written communication skills in English and Telugu are must.
The incumbent will report to the Program Lead and work
in close association with other team members to deliver the following tasks:
Work in close collaboration with the Women and Child Welfare Department and
Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society of Government of Andhra PradeshLiason
with stakeholders at different levels working with Government and Non-Government
Organisations towards planning, implementation and monitoring of the project
Develop
training modules and build capacities of the officials, Master Trainers,
Anganwadi Workers, Staff of welfare homes run by the WCW Dept through
Sensitisation workshops, Trainings, Onsite mentorship and monitoring assitance.
Develop IEC materials on HIV/AIDS, which can be integrated with the existing
materials of the Women and Child Welfare Department.
Process documentation and Reporting
B) Technical Officer
The incumbent is expected with the following
background:
Post graduation in Social Work/ Nutrition Science/ Nursing with a minimum of two
year working experience on issues of women, adolescent girls and children.
Sound technical knowledge on basic HIV/AIDS information, HIV testing and
diagnosis, HIV prevention, care, support and treatment services, nutrition
supplementations for adults and children, ICDS services, establishing referrals
and linkages, MIS.
Experience in working in Government settings, demonstrated mainstreaming
strategies, developing training modules and communication materials, managing
program finances, liason with multiple stakeholders, onsite monitoring support
will be additional advantage. Oral and written communication skills in English
and Telugu are must.
The incumbent will report to the Program Manager and work in close association
with other team members to deliver the following
tasks:
Work in close collaboration with the Women and Child Welfare Department, Andhra
Pradesh State AIDS Control Society and other key stakeholdersProvide technical
guidance/assistance on HIV/AIDS basic information, HIV testing and diagnosis,
HIV prevention, care, support and treatment services, ICDS and other programs
for women, adolescent girls and children
Provide technical assistance on mainstreaming of HIV/AIDS issues within WCW
Dept., developing training modules and onsite mentorship and monitoring
plans, developing IEC materials on
HIV/AIDS
Reporting and Process documentation
Both positions require a minimum of 20 days of travel within the state every
month and may require you working for additional hours in the office.
