Description

The ADDprofessional mailing list is open to all professionals who work with the ADD (attention deficit disorder) population. This includes physicians, therapists, counselors, coaches, educators, advocates, etc.
Students who are enrolled in a course of study with the intention of learning more about ADD will be considered for membership on an individual basis.

This is a professional list whose goal is to discuss clinical, educational and other related issues, such as legislation, public relations, etc. as they pertain to ADD.

In discussing private cases, please remember to omit any identifying information.

No solicitation of products or services will be allowed.

Please keep in mind the nature of the list, i.e. a place to discuss professional issues. Though many have family members with ADHD and may have ADHD themselves, it is urged that the list not be used for personal use. The internet has many resources available for securing support and information; please use this list only for professional discussions.

All posts to the list are not meant to be shared with other individuals or lists without the permission of the poster. Failure to comply will result in the person's removal from the list.

In sending posts to the list, please include your full name, credentials and geographical location.

It is understood that members of this group subscribed because they believe that ADHD is, indeed, a real neurobiological disorder. Members may partake in discussions that promote the understanding of ADHD and how it affects their patients, clients and students.

The listowner will not tolerate provoctions or flames by those who do not believe this disorder exists and they will be banned from the group. This is not a forum for debating whether ADD is real or not real; rather, we come here to discuss the issues outlined above.
Though there are bound to be differences of opinions, name calling, taunting and other flame inducing posts will not be tolerated.
