I guess it's just one of those times that I need a break because
being a parent can be frustrating. Our 17 year old son who has ADHD
can be stubborn and wants to do things his way, which are usually the
hard way. All that we ask is for him to put some effort and try to
get a C in each of his classes. He doesn't want help from any of us
or to get him a tutor. He wants to go with his junior class this
summer to Spain and we would like him to experience that but he
doesn't think he needs to improve his grades. He thinks a D is good
enough in English, Spanish and bible or makes excuses that the
teacher can't teach English. Now he wants to go to public school for
his senior year because his school is too conservative. He is always
full of excuses and blames everyone else for his problems. My husband
is out of town this weekend and I'm in charge of my 12 year old
daughter, 13 year old niece, and 17 year son. I'm a stay at home mom
and don't always feel appreciated. Mother's Day is just around the
corner but I'm not expecting anything. I'm doing the best I can but
sometimes it seems overwhelming when your husband has ADD and your
teenage son has it too.
I just needed to vent.
