new here - serious medication question

Hi, I'm new here.
I have a serious med question to get me started!

My 15 year old daughter has had OCD and generalized anxiety disorder
ever since I can remember (first noticed the OCD at about 2 years
old). She has been on celexa for about a year now. It got so bad,
we had no other choice. Her rituals were driving her and the family
crazy.
It has helped. She thinks it has controlled her OCD about 70%.

Recently, her phsychiatrist has diagnosed her with ADD.
He says she is classic.
She has always had trouble concentrating. She seems to be in her
own little "bubble world". She never seems to be paying attention
to her surroundings. I have to tell her things over and over again.
She's never in trouble at school - never disruptive, but doesn't get
very good grades. It's like she has something blocking her
thinking. She daydreams all the time.

Her dad and I think ADD sounds like the answer. She even thinks
this is right.

She was prescribed Adderall XR last week. It's the slow release
kind.
She has had trouble sleeping since she started it. Her Dr said she
could take a lorazepam or a valium to help her sleep - hoping that
it would be a short term side effect.
She hasn't had an appetite, and has been feeling nauseous. Last
night, she said she felt dizzy, and like she could pass out. (She
didn't). I got her to eat something. But, she hasn't eaten much in
the last 3 days at all.

I did notice a difference in her the first day. She isn't hyper,
but she has a lot of energy - always has to have somethig to do.
That first day, she still had a lot of energy, but it was directed
at doing specific things. Usually, she's sort of scatterbrain, not
knowing just what to do. She often gets very angry at her brother
or sister - like she's frustrated. That hasn't happened since she
started the Adderall. She has even been able to concentrate on her
English reading book, and do the assigned questions with it.

I was getting very excited, thinking this is gonna change everything.
But, now dad and I are worried about the drug. The side effects
seem terrible. She seems ok during the day, besides being nauseous
and hungry - and not able to eat. But, when she tries to go to bed,
she really has trouble.

Last night she said she wanted to keep taking the Adderall, cause
she can notice a difference. But, she was uncomfortable, and I had
to sleep with her on the futon and I played a relaxation tape for
her, which put her to sleep.

But - her dad and I checked out the web for drug interactions. Her
dr said it's ok to take both the Adderall and celexa, but we aren't
so sure.
These are some pretty serious drugs. And, giving her the muscle
relaxers to sleep is a worry. She has terrible muscle spasms that
have put her in the er 4 times in the last 2 months. She has had so
many drugs - pain killers, muscle relaxers, celexa, and now the
adderall. I am very worried about this. I feel like I'm drugging
my child.

So, does anyone have any words of wisdom for me? I'm going to call
the pharmacist first thing this morning, and the dr when he gets in
for the day.

We don't know if she should just not take the adderoll. My feelings
are so mixed. I keep thinking maybe the side effects she suffering
will go away in another day or 2.
