Hello I am new to this group and I am needing alot of support and
help because I have 2 children they are still a ward of the state
but we are in the process of adopting them and they are 10 and 8
years old 2 boys. They are both adhd and my youngest one is having a
really hard time. In the beginnig of december I had to hospitalize
him because he was on adderall and he got angry all the time and he
was hitting me and his brother. He was screaming throwing things. He
refused to do anything that I said. He was doing very poorly in
school. At least once a week I had to force him litterly to go to
class by dragging him. He got so bad that he got angry over every
little thing and when we would go somewhere her would try to destroy
my car and it started to be dangerous while driving. And I have
tried everything I can think of to help him but nothing was working
so his doctor advised me to hospitalize him that way they can
stablize his meds and montior his behaviors he was in there up until
a couple of days before christams but he was still angry alot. He
was on concerta 36 mg and trilepal 300 mg. Yesterday I took him to
the doctor at the hospital where he was staying and they up the dose
to 54 mg. Is that bad? And he has to go there everyday after school
for outpatient therapy. And it is an hour and half away from me. But
I look at this way I will do anything I can to help him. If anyone
can give me some advice please write back and let me know. I am
willing to try anything. I have done just about everything. I almost
had to admit him again but I don't want to do that again because it
was pretty bad in there. They diagosed him with adhd and
intermittent explosive disorder. Please if anyone can help please do
so. Also I was wondering if there was any natural medicine out there
for adhd especially for hyperactivity and paying attention and anger.
