Hi everyone, I've just recently joined this group. I have a son aged
12 who has ADHD. My son used to attend a special needs school here in
London and was happy there but since he reached 11 yrs the LEA (London
Education Authorities) had decided to put him back in to mainstream
secondary school but he is not coping at all well and he has gone down
hill rapidly. However and finally the LEA have decided that he needs
to go to a school that can cater for his needs. They did apply to a
school in Battersea that specialise with ADHD but the school in
Battersea have not accepted my son. My son is now permanently excluded
from his present school and the LEA are now telling me that they have
no other alternatives where to place my son in the London area. I am
at my wits end - can anyone help me? or does anyone know of any
schools within the London area? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
