just want to share with you some of the wonderful progress that eitan
has made since we pulled him out of mainstream school.
after 11 years of being "smart, but different", not fitting in and
being frustrated , eitan was finally diagnosed just over 3 years ago
with high-functioning autism.
now in his fourth year in a small class , he has initiated a class
newspaper, in which most of his class participated. he was on the
phone with classmates , encouraging them, and together they published
the newspaper.
tonight , eitan got naama and nehemia to join him in baking a fancy
chocolate cake for yom tov.
thank you , dr judi guedalia for the diagnosis and recommending
making the break from mainstream school, and all his teachers,
especially yossi fleisher, for all that they have put into teaching
him how to communicate and work with others, and yeshivat horev for
hosting and integrating the kitat tikshoret.
