The truth is, we ALL should be taking Omega 3, whether we have a diagnosis
or not. Our diet used to provide this and other Essential Fatty Acids, but
it typically does not, anymore, unless you're fortunate enough to eat
wildfish daily, as well as a variety of EFA-rich seeds.
Did you know that many dog foods have Omega 3 essential fatty acids because
it makes their coat glossy?? Ironic, isn't it, that it's being put in our
dog food but not in our people food!
The rule of thumb for fish oils (the primary source of storebought EFA's) --
the more expensive it is, the less fishy it tastes, the more likely you are
to continue taking it daily. Spend the extra money on OmegaBrite, EyeQ,
Eskimo Oil, or one of the other more expensive brands.
