THE ADHD GAZETTE - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Dear All,

I am afraid the time has come to admit that I probably won't be able
to carry on with the gazette. I have tried my hardest over the last
16 months or so to get issues out but as you all know it has been
tremendously difficult for me. I've had lots of problems with the
education regarding my son. He's still having seizures, yet I don't
seem to be able to get treatment for these! A few weeks ago I was
diagnosed officially with clinical depression (so what's new) - it's
been so hard.

Therefore I am having to throw in the towel I'm afraid. To all new
subscribers, there's an archive available at yahoogroups, which after
90 days of inactivity gets wiped. Therefore if anyone would like to
come forward to take over the list you are free to do so, just let me
know.

There comes a time for everyone when they have to accept defeat and I
have gone through so much over the last 14 years (particularly the
last 5 or so)- not so much with my son, although that has been a
nightmare, but with the INABILITY to get appropriate medical and
educational provision for him. I have battled with education
authorities, seen NUMEROUS paediatricians, psychologists and
psychiatrists, now the neurologist doesn't seem to believe us, yet I
know people who haven't had anywhere NEAR the neurological
doifficulties George has had, but they get treatment / medication
straight away! 14 years down the line and we're getting nowhere.

So, in a nutshell, there will not be any more gazettes. I just don't
have the energy, I'm afraid. Thanks to everyone who has been with the
newsletter right from the start.
