The ACSM Cancer Interest Group was formed to provide a forum for focused discussion, activity, debate, and both formal and informal networking among ACSM members who are interested in physical activity and cancer across the cancer experience (etiology, screening, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, survival, and palliation). We are dedicated to the generation and dissemination of knowledge concerning the motivation, responses, adaptations, and health aspects of persons engaged in sport and physical activity as they relate to the cancer experience. It is our goal to provide a forum for education, networking, and preparation of ACSM annual meeting programming for practitioners and researchers interested in physical activity and cancer.
