The Alabama Birth Coalition unites groups and individuals that are committed to improving access to natural childbirth options for women, families and communities in Alabama. Our goal is to provide a statewide grassroots network connecting Members with resources that support the goal of natural childbirth and respect parents' rights to make the appropriate health care decisions for their families.

The Midwives Model of Care is a health-promoting and evidence-based wellness model that improves birth outcomes and is mother-friendly and baby-friendly. Our mission is to promote safe, evidence-based childbirth services, as described by the Midwives Model of Care (MMOC), to be the best kind of care available for pregnancy and childbirth. This group is a place where Alabama residents can meet and discuss issues relating to midwifery care, childbirth, and parenting issues.
