I have a question. My Dad found this full page advertisement in a
magazine advertising this Cuddle Ewe Underquilts as bringing
"Fibromyalgia Patients resful, restorative sleep" It's something you put
on top of your bed mattress as a padding. Has anyone heard of this and
tried it or know of anyone who has? There is no price in the
advertisement which indicates it's probably expensive, but if it works,
it'd be worth it. They say their website address is www.cuddleewe.com.
I haven't checked it yet, but I would assume a price would be there. In
the ad they say there's a 90 day money back guarantee and you get "The
Fibromyalgia Help Book" for free. There's also a phone number of
1-800-328-9493 ext 104.

Wednesday morning, before leaving for work, I went to check on something
on my screened in porch, and fell stepping down into it. I fell forward
onto my legs, twisting my feet in the process. The pain was great at
first, and subsided to a tolerable level during the day. That night
while I slept my legs really began to hurt and have been excruciating
since. I have had to still work, and have had moments were I could
barely walk. Imagine me climbing a flight of stairs each morning and
back down each afternoon. Using the elevator would have been just as bad
as I would have had to walk to the front of the building and then back
to the back employee parking lot. The stairs are a direct shot from my
car to the desk I work at. Sitting all day in the computer chair makes
it worse as they apply preassure to my legs. My back has also been
killing me just about all week, no matter how many times I get up and
walk around or stretch. I go to a new chiropractor on Monday after work,
that's less than a mile from work. My Uncle Doug went to him many years
ago when he had back trouble.
I'm not quite sure about the place I'm working at as a possible
perminant job. There are many that are leaving, and the company has been
putting up many road blocks to their departure. Their last day keeps
getting pushed back. Many are going to work for one of the Dr's we do
the charges for and how he's willing to wait, I don't know. It makes me
wonder. Also. I've noticed many are working over time during the week as
well as working on Saturdays. 40 hours is my limit (M-F 7:30am-4:00pm),
and I will have to make that clear IF they offer me a perminant
possition. The only really great thing about it is that it is just 4.7
miles from home and I can take a much less busy road with less lights.
It just takes 10-15 minutes to get there and about 10 to get home.
Please pray that it will work out ok, either way and I'll know what to
do when the time comes.
I haven't heard back from the city of Dunedin, so I guess they decided
to pass me over and not interview me next week.
Wednesday, my Pastor from Nashville is visiting Clearwater. He has
written a book and will appear on a local tv show, which I can't find in
the tv listings. He will also be at a local church that Dad will go to
with me. I will have to drive however, as he no longer is able to see
well at night driving. I worry about it too as I'm always so tired,
especially in the evenings. But...I haven't seen Pastor Yates in over 2
years since I had to stop going to church due to overwhelming fatigue
and no one going with me and driving. The night services were especially
out of the question since it was out of Nashville.
Take Care,

MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE COOKIE RECIPE!!!!!!! A little background:
Neiman-Marcus, if you don't know already, is a very expensive store;
i.e., they sell your typical $8.00 T-shirt for $50.00. Let's let them
have it!
THIS IS A TRUE STORY
My daughter and I had just finished a salad at a Neiman-Marcus Cafe in
Dallas, and we decided to have a small dessert. Because both of us are
such cookie lovers, we decided to try the
"Neiman-Marcus cookie." It was so
excellent that I asked if they would give me the recipe, and the
waitress said with a small frown, "I'm afraid not, but you
can buy the recipe."
Well, I asked how much, and she responded, "Only two fifty--it's a great
deal!" I agreed to that, and told her to just add it to my tab. Thirty
days later, I received my VISA statement, and the Neiman-Marcus charge
was $285.00! I looked again, and I remembered I
had only spent $9.95 for two salads and about $20.00 for a for a scarf.
As I
glanced at the bottom of the statement, it said, "Cookie
Recipe-$250.00". That
was outrageous!
I called Neiman's Accounting Department and told them the waitress said
it was
"two fifty", which clearly does not mean "two hundred and fifty dollars"
by
any reasonable interpretation of the phrase. Neiman- Marcus refused to
budge. They would not refund my money because, according to them, "What
the
waitress told you is not our problem. You have already seen the recipe.
We absolutely will not refund your money at this point."
I explained to the Accounting Department lady the criminal statues which
govern fraud in the state of Texas. I threatened to report them to the
Better Business Bureau and the Texas Attorney General's office for
engaging in fraud. I was basically told, "Do what you want. Don't bother
thinking
of how you can get even, and don't bother trying to get any of your
money
back."
I just said, "Okay, you folks got my $250, and now I'm going to have
$250 worth of fun." I told her that I was going to see to it that every
cookie lover in the United States with an e-mail account has a $250
cookie recipe from Neiman-Marcus...for free. She replied, "I wish you
wouldn't do this." I said, "Well, perhaps you should have thought of
that before you ripped me off!" andslammed down the phone.
So here it is! Please, please, please pass it on to everyone you can
possibly think of. I paid $250 for this, and I don't want
Neiman-Marcus to EVER make another penny off of this recipe!
NEIMAN-MARCUS COOKIES

A Prayer
Father, I ask you to bless my friends reading this right now. I am
asking You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there
is pain, give them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubting,
release a renewed confidence in Your ability to work through them. Where
there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding,
patience, and strength as they learn submission to your leading. Where
there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your
nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where
there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your courage. Where
there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over my
friend's life. Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise
up leaders, and friends to support, and encourage them. Give each of
them discernment to recognize the evil forces around them, and reveal to
them the power they have in You to defeat it. I ask You to do these
things in Jesus' name.
In love, Your Friend
Passing this on to anyone you consider a friend will bless you both.
Passing this on to one not considered a friend is something Christ would
do. -

A Father's Story:
On July 22nd I was enroute to Washington, DC for a business trip. It was
all so very ordinary, until we landed in Denver for a plane change. As I
collected my belongings from the overhead bin, an announcement was made
for Mr. Lloyd Glenn to see the United Customer Service Representative
immediately. I thought nothing of it until I reached the door to leave
the plane, and I heard a gentleman asking every male if they were Mr.
Glenn. At this point I knew something was wrong and my heart sunk. When
I got off the plane a solemn-faced young man came toward me and said,
"Mr. Glenn, there is an emergency at your home. I do not know what the
emergency is, or who is involved, but I will take you to the phone so
you can call the hospital."
My heart was now pounding, but the will to be calm took over. Woodenly,
I followed this stranger to the distant telephone where I called the
number he gave me for the Mission Hospital. My call was put through to
the trauma center where I learned hat my three-year-old son had been
trapped underneath the automatic garage door for several minutes, and
that when my wife had found him he was dead.
CPR had been performed by a neighbor, who is a doctor, and the
paramedics had continued the treatment as Brian was transported to the
hospital. By the time of my call, Brian was revived and they believed he
would live, but they did not know how much damage had been done to his
brain, nor to his heart. They explained that the door had completely
closed on his little sternum right over his heart. He had been severely
crushed. After speaking with the medical staff, my wife sounded worried
but not hysterical, and I took comfort in her calmness. The return
flight seemed to last forever, but finally I arrived at the hospital six
hours after the garage door had come down.
When I walked into the intensive care unit, nothing could have prepared
me to see my little son lying so still on a great big bed with tubes and
monitors everywhere. He was on respirator. I glanced at my wife who
stood and tried to give me a reassuring smile. It all seemed like a
terrible dream. I was filled-in with the details and given a guarded
prognosis. Brian was going to live, and the preliminary tests indicated
that his heart was OK, two miracles in and of themselves. But only time
would tell if his brain received any damage.
Throughout the seemingly endless hours, my wife was calm. She felt that
Brian would eventually be all right. I hung on to her words and faith
like a lifeline. All that night and the next day Brian remained
unconscious. It seemed like forever since I had left for my business
trip the day before. Finally at two o'clock that afternoon, our son
regained consciousness and sat up uttering the most beautiful words I
have ever heard spoken. He said, "Daddy hold me" and he reached for me
with his little arms.
[TEAR BREAK...smile]
By the next day he was pronounced as having no neurological or physical
deficits, and the story of his miraculous survival spread throughout the
hospital. You cannot imagine we took Brian home, we felt a unique
reverence for the life and love of our Heavenly Father that comes to
those who brush death so closely. In the days that followed there was a
special spirit about our home. Our two older children were much closer
to their little brother. My wife and I were much closer to each other,
and all of us were very close as a whole family. Life took on a less
stressful pace. Perspective seemed to be more focused, and balance much
easier to gain and maintain. We felt deeply blessed. Our gratitude was
truly profound. The story is not over (smile)!
Almost a month later to the day of the accident, Brian awoke from his
afternoon nap and said, "Sit down Mommy. I have something to tell you."
At this time in his life, Brian usually spoke in small phrases; so to
say a large sentence surprised my wife. She sat down with him on his
bed, and he began his sacred and remarkable story. "Do you remember when
I got stuck under the garage door? Well, it was so heavy and it hurt
really bad. I called to you, but you couldn't hear me. I started to cry,
but then it hurt too badly. And then the 'birdies' came." "The birdies?"
my wife asked puzzled.
"Yes," he replied. "The birdies made a whooshing sound and flew into the
garage. They took care of me." "They did?" "Yes," he said. "One of the
birdies came and got you. She came to tell you I got stuck under the
door." A sweet reverent feeling filled the room. The spirit was so
strong and yet lighter than air. My wife realized that a three-year-old
had no concept of death and spirits, so he was referring to the beings
who came to him from beyond as "birdies" because they were up in the air
like birds that fly.
"What did the birdies look like?" she asked. Brian answered, "They were
so beautiful. They were dressed in white, all white. Some of them had
green and white. But some of them had on just white."
"Did they say anything?"
"Yes," he answered. "They told me the baby would be all right."
"The baby?" my wife asked confused.
Brian answered. "The baby laying on the garage floor." He went on, "You
came out and opened the garage door and ran to the baby. You told the
baby to stay and not leave."
My wife nearly collapsed upon hearing this, for she had indeed gone and
knelt beside Brian's body and seeing his crushed chest whispered, "Don't
leave us Brian, please stay if you can." As she listened to Brian
telling her the words she had spoken, she realized that the spirit had
left his body and was looking down from above on this little lifeless
form.
"Then what happened?" she asked.
"We went on a trip." he said, "Far, far away." He grew agitated trying
to say the things he didn't seem to have the words for. My wife tried to
calm and comfort him, and let him know it would be okay. He struggled
with wanting to tell something that obviously was very important to him,
but finding the words was difficult. "We flew so fast up in the air.
They're so pretty Mommy," he added. "And there are lots and lots of
birdies." My wife was stunned. Into her mind the sweet comforting spirit
enveloped her more soundly, but with urgency she had never before known.
Brian went on to tell her that the "birdies" had told him that he had to
come back and tell everyone about the "birdies." He said they brought
him back to the house and that a big fire truck and an ambulance were
there. A man was bringing the baby out on a white bed and he tried to
tell the man that the baby would be okay, but the man couldn't hear him.
He said the birdies told him he had to go with the ambulance, but they
would be near him. He said they were so pretty and so peaceful, and he
didn't want to come back. Then the bright light came. He said that the
light was so bright and so warm, and he loved the bright light so much.
Someone was in the bright light and put their arms around him, and told
him, "I love you but you have to go back. You have to play baseball, and
tell everyone about the birdies. "Then the person in the bright light
kissed him and waved bye-bye. Then whoosh, the big sound came and they
went into the clouds.
The story went on for an hour. He taught us that "birdies" were always
with us, but we don't see them because we look with our eyes and we
don't hear them because we listen with our ears. But they are always
there, you can only see them in here (he put his hand over his heart).
They whisper the things to help us to do what is right because they love
us so much. Brian continued, stating, "I have a plan, Mommy. You have a
plan. Daddy has a plan. Everyone has a plan. We must all live our plan
and keep our promises. The birdies help us to do that cause they love us
so much."
In the weeks that followed, he often came to us and told all, or parts
of it, again and again. Always the story remained the same. The details
were never changed or out of order. A few times he added further bits of
information and clarified the message he had already delivered. It never
ceased to amaze us how he could tell such detail and speak beyond his
ability when he talked about his birdies. Everywhere he went, he told
strangers about the "birdies."
Surprisingly, no one ever looked at him
strangely when he did this. Rather, they always got a softened look on
their face and smiled. Needless to say, we have not been the same ever
since that day, and I pray we never will be. An Angel to Watch over You
Some people come into our lives and quickly go.... Some people become
friends and stay a while... Leaving beautiful footprints on our
hearts... And we are never quite the same because we have made a good

Hello eveyone,
I don't know if this is true, or when this prayer chain got started, but
I figure a little prayer can't hurtanything! So please take a few
minutes to read this.
I heard on Good Morning America that there was yet another school
shooting in El Cajon, California, so please pray about that as well!!
I am tired of hearing about innocent children and teachers dying
because of school shootings.
Thank you and God bless you all!

Subject: Prayer Needed Please!
Date: Tue, 13 Mar 2001 18:57
Hi everyone,
Please send this to everyone that you can think of. This child and his
family need our prayers. They don't have a large mailing or forwarding
list but I'm hoping that some of you do. We need a miracle
Michael Novenche is a 2 year-old beautiful little boy in Clifton Park,
New York, and the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. A few months
ago,he started throwing up and telling Mommy "boo boo in my head." He
was brought to the doctors and tests were ran on him, later that week he
started losing feeling in the left side of his poor little body. They
found a large tumor in his brain. He was brought to a hospital in Boston
where doctors told his family the tumor was too big and it was too risky
to operate on it.
His aunts and uncle would not give up, they called Beth Israel, then
E-mailed Dr. Epstein for him to look a Michael's films. Michael's uncle
then drove the films to New York City himself for Dr.Epstein to look at.
Dr. Epstein operated but couldn't remove the entire tumor and now he has
to go through chemo to keep the tumor from growing and hitting the brain
stem. We need all the prayers we can get for the chemo to kill the tumor
entirely. As I write this, he started chemotherapy and we are hoping
desperately that it works.
Please stop and say one prayer for this beautiful baby boy Michael when
you read this letter. They need a miracle of God's healing so that their
precious baby boy will grow up. I am asking you to send this letter, or
copies of it, to everybody you can think of that will pray for Michael.
Please also take his name to your church and church groups and ask
others to pray for his healing. Many thanks and may God bless each one
of you who care enough to pray for a little boy's life.
I am asking that each and every one of you please forward this on to
everyone that you know. Just think if this was child going through this
right now. We all know that God can heal this little angel, if it's His
will. Please take time to do this right now.
Jesus said..."If two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for,
it will be done for you by my Father in Heaven"

What makes us special is the signature of God on our lives.
This was written by the CEO of Coca-Col Brian G. Dyson. It was used as
Georgia
Tech's Commencement Address
Imagine life as a game in which you are
juggling some five balls in the air.
You name them - Work - Family - Health Friends - Spirit, and you're
keeping all of
these in the air.
You will soon understand that work is a
rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four
balls - family,
health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these,
they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked,
damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same.
You must understand that and strive for balance in your life. How?
1. Don't undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is
because we are different that each of us is special.
2. Don't set your goals by what other
people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.
3. Don't take for granted the things
closest to your heart. Cling to them as
you would your life, for without them,
life is meaningless.
4. Don't let your life slip through your
fingers by living in the past or for the
future. By living your life one day at a
time, you live ALL the days of your life.
5. Don't give up when you still have
something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop
trying.
6. Don't be afraid to admit that you are
less than perfect. It is this fragile
thread that binds us together.
7. Don't be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we
learn how to be brave.
8. Don't shut love out of your life by
saying it's impossible to find. The
quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is
to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it
wings.
9. Don't run through life so fast that you
forget not only where you've been, but also where you are going.
10. Don't forget that a person's greatest
emotional need is to feel appreciated.
11. Don't be afraid to learn. Knowledge
always carry easily.
12.Don't use time or words carelessly.
Neither can be retrieved.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be
savored each step of the way. Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a
Mystery, and Today is a gift: that's why we call it - "The Present"
On February 18, 2001, while racing for fame and fortune, Dale Earnhardt
died in the last lap of the Daytona 500. It
was surely a tragedy for his family, friends and fans. He was 49 years
old with grown children, one, which was in the race. I am new to the
NASCAR culture so much of
what I know has come from the newspaper and TV. He was a winner and
earned everything he had. This included more than "$41 million in
winnings and ten times that from endorsements and souvenir sales". He
had a beautiful home
and a private jet. He drove the most
sophisticated cars allowed and every part was inspected and replaced as
soon as
there was any evidence of wear. This is normally fully funded by the car
and team sponsors.
Today, there is no TV station that does not constantly remind us of his
tragic end and the radio already has a song of
tribute to this winning driver. Nothing should be taken away from this
man, he was a professional and the best in his profession. He was in a
very dangerous business but the rewards were great.
Two weeks ago seven U.S. Army soldiers
died in a training accident when two UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters
collided
during night maneuvers in Hawaii.
The soldiers were all in their twenties,
pilots, crewchiefs and infantrymen. Most of them lived in sub-standard
housing. If you add their actual duty hours (in the field, deployed)
they probably earn something close to minimum wage. The aircraft they
were in were between 15 and 20 years old. Many times parts were not
available to keep them in good shape due to funding. They were involved
in the extremely dangerous business of flying in
the Kuhuku mountains at night. It only gets worse when the weather moves
in as it did that night. Most times no one is there with a yellow or red
flag to slow things down when it gets critical. Their children where
mostly toddlers who will lose all memory of who "Daddy" was as they grow
up. They died training to defend our freedom.
I take nothing away from Dale Earnhardt
but ask you to perform this simple test. Ask any of your friends if they
know who was the NASCAR driver killed on February 18, 2001. Then ask
them if they can name one of the seven soldiers who died in Hawaii two
weeks ago.
February 18, 2001, Dale Earnhardt died
driving for fame and glory at the Daytona 500. The nation mourns. Seven
soldiers died training to protect our freedom. No one can remember their
names and most don't even remember the incident.

Note: PLEASE READ THE MESSAGE BELOW MY NOTE. You'll understand my
message. Basically, the way I will remember this is...if you haven't
called the phone company or any other utility or sevice company to check
out a problem, than don't supply any "call from one" any information,
and don't dial anything for them. Tell them you need to verify the work.
Hang up and call the company in question and ask if they sent someone
out to work on your line, utilities, etc. But, definately, DO NOT DIAL
ANY NUMBERS WHILE ON LINE WITH THE CALLER. If you call the pone company
yourself and request they look at your acct, they would not ask you to
dial anything. All they need is get your account number and pull it up
on the computer.

PLEASE PASS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW
I received a telephone call last evening from an individual identifying
himself as an AT&T Service technician who was conducting a test on
telephone lines. He stated that to complete the test I should touch
nine(9), zero(0), the pound sign (#), and then hang up. Luckily, I was
suspicious and refused.
Upon contacting the telephone company, I was informed that by pushing
90#, you give the requesting individual full access to your telephone
line, which enables them to place long distance calls billed to your
home phone number.
I was further informed that this scam has been originating from many
local jails/prisons. I have also verified this information with UCB
Telecom, Pacific Bell, MCI, Bell Atlantic and GTE. Please beware. DO
NOT press 90# for ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After checking with Verizon they said it was true so do not dial (9),
zero(0), the pound sign # and hang up for anyone.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The GTE Security Department requested that I share this information with
EVERYONE I KNOW. PLEASE pass this on to everyone YOU know. If you have
mailing lists and/or newsletters from organizations you are connected
with, I encourage you to pass on this information to them, too.
It is easy to sign this petition. Just click on the link below, click on
"sign petition", etc. No need to print out and mail. Being that I have
fibromyalgia, and continue to get turned down for SS Disability, I know
how hard it is to fight "city hall" for benefits and assistance that you
deserve and are entitled to.

My friend Kathy, of 21 years, passed away Monday morning. This is the
email I got from her baby sister. I wanted to pass it on because I
believe you all prayed for her as well and her and my thanks need to go
out to you.
Leann
Hey Everyone:
Most of you know, but for those of you who do not, my oldest sister, Kathy, passed away yesterday morning. I want to thank all of you for your kind words and thoughts. They have meant so much to me. I really appreciate all of you who have been there. This has really made me realize how much each of my friends means to me. Since I don't say it often, I want each and every one of you to know that I consider you friends and you are all special. I will see you all later. Thanks again :o)
For years and years they told me,
Be careful of your breasts.
Don't ever squeeze or bruise them.
And give them monthly tests.
So I heeded all their warnings,
And protected them by law.
Guarded them very carefully,
And I always wore my bra.
After 30 years of astute care,
My gyno, Dr. Pruitt,
Said I should get a Mammogram.
"O.K," I said, "let's do it."
"Stand up here real close" she said,
(She got my boob in line),
"And tell me when it hurts," she said,
"Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."
She stepped upon a pedal,
I could not believe my eyes!
A plastic plate came slamming down,
My hooter's in a vise!
My skin was stretched and mangled,
From underneath my chin.
My poor boob was being squashed,
To Swedish Pancake thin.
Excruciating pain I felt,
Within it's vise-like grip.
A prisoner in this vicious thing,
My poor defenseless tit!
"Take a deep breath" she said to me,
Who does she think she's kidding?!?
My chest is mashed in her machine,
And woozy I am getting.
"There, that's good," I heard her say,
(The room was slowly swaying.)
"Now, let's have a go at the other one." Have mercy, I was praying.
It squeezed me from both up and down,
It squeezed me from both sides.
I'll bet SHE'S never had this done,
To HER tender little hide.
Next time that they make me do this,
I will request a blindfold.
I have no wish to see again,
My knockers getting steamrolled.
If I had no problem when I came in,
I surely have one now.
If there had been a cyst in there,
It would have gone "ker-pow!"
This machine was created by a man,
Of this, I have no doubt.
I'd like to stick his balls in there,
And see how THEY come out.
A friend of mine saw a ad for this Fibromyalgia relief book in a
magazine, and let me know the website address. Thought I'd send it on to
you. Hopefully the link will bring you to the right page, if not just
scroll down to health books and it's listed. Click on that link.

I got this from my mother, who works for Verizon (telephone company).
This was a email from Verizon to their employees, so it's a legit virus
alert.
Leann
I thought you might want to be aware of this virus.

Prayer Request for Child in Amarillo, TX
This has been a really hard week for our family. Last Friday about
12:30pm. my three year old granddaughter, Lauren Renee Pingel and her
babysitter were on their way to do some shopping in a Ford Taurus. At an
intersection North of Amarillo and around River Road area a large Pickup
with a Rhino Guard Bumper failed to yield right of way and ran a stop
sign.
The pickup hit the car. Lauren was buckled in her car seat in the
middle of
the back seat. The pickup hit the side of the car about the middle.
We are not sure what caused the terrible injury to Lauren. She had
no broken bones or other injuries but severe head injuries. We have been
told it was the Rhino Guard Bumper that hit her. She weighs about 25
lbs.
She was rushed to Northwest Texas Hospital where they put the pieces of
her
little skull back together with metal pins and all the pieces were
there. Some broken glass was also removed. A few hours later as her
brain began to swell the doctors told Suzanne and Brad that if they did
not perform a craniotomy she would die, and if they did perform it she
still might die or surely not fully recover. She was rushed into surgery
again, and it was
performed.
She has improved some slowly. The first 72 hours were very difficult
with several trips for CAT scans in hopes of seeing how the brain was
reacting. We have now stopped worrying about the brain so much and are
concentrating on the other vital organs. Her heart beat is strong. Her
lungs are filled with fluid and they have diagnosed her with Adult
Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Some of the tissue in her lungs has
hardened. They are doing
respiratory work every 2 hours. Her kidneys were not functioning
properly
but have improved. Her little face is swollen as tight as it can swell
with both eyes swollen shut, it is also starting to bruise.
It is so hard to see her lying there with all of the tubes. We have some
great doctors and they have all been really good to talk to us and try
to be compassionate. Her main doctor said today that we are maybe
halfway through the worst part. (I can't imagine what will happen next)
BUT....he also said today that we were not taking inches anymore but
maybe steps now.
We think she can hear us when we talk to her. I read her a book tonight
and her blood pressure dropped 2 points (a good thing). It did go back
up. I am taking a couple of her favorite books tomorrow to read to her.
Ron and I came home tonight hoping to be able to get a good nights
sleep. Of
course the kids (Brad and Suzanne) can't leave the hospital, and neither
would I. They sleep in Lauren's room. One of the nurses where Suzanne
works took the baby-Jodi-8 months old today-home with her.
Please pray for Lauren and Her doctors that she will have the strength
to endure the treatment and her body will accept the medicines that they
prescribe.
Her doctors names are: Dr. Habersang- Pediatric ER Trauma Specialist,
Dr. Levy-Pediatric ER Trauma Specialist, Dr. Ortiz-Resident with Dr.Levy
and
Habersang, and Dr. Steve Cone-Brain Surgeon. Also pray for the many
excellent nurses and therapist that are working with her.
Names: Lauren Renee Pingel, age 3
Brad and Suzanne Pingel, Parents
Jodi RaeLynn Pingel, 8 month old sister
Ron and Janace Ross, Maternal Grand parents
JoAnn and Robert McCoy, Paternal Grand parents
I hope to have a prayer chain going around the world with the help of
the
internet. Her name has been given to a missionary in Africa and they are
praying for her there. Please send this request to anyone you know that
will pray for us and the healing of our precious baby girl- Lauren.

Happy National Girlfriend Week!!!
If you get this twice, then you have more than one girlfriend. Be happy!
ALL I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE I LEARNED FROM MY GIRLFRIENDS:
Good times are even better when they're shared.
A good long talk can cure almost anything.
Everyone needs someone with whom to share their secrets.
Listening is just as important as talking.
An understanding friend is better than a therapist; and cheaper too!
Laughter makes the world a happier place.
Friends are like wine; they get better with age.
Sometimes you just need a shoulder to cry on.
Great minds think alike, especially when they are female!
When it comes to "bonding," females do it better.
YOU ARE NEVER TOO OLD FOR SLUMBER PARTIES!!!!
Girls just want to have fun.
It's important to make time to do "girl things."
Calories don't count when you are having lunch (or any other food) with
your girlfriends.
You can never have too many shoes.
GEMS MAY BE PRECIOUS, BUT FRIENDSHIP IS PRICELESS!!!!!
PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO ALL YOUR GIRLFRIENDS - EVEN THE ONE WHO
SENT IT TO YOU.
I got this from my friend Lisa.
---------------
BELIEFS:
I believe- that we don't have to change friends if we understand that
friends change.
I believe- that you can do something in an instant that will give you
heartache for life.
I believe- that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want
to be.
I believe- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It
may be the last time you see them.
I believe- that you can keep going long after you can't.
I believe- that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we
feel.
I believe- that either you control your attitude or it controls you.
I believe- that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at
first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take
its place.
I believe- that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it
needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.
I believe- that money is a lousy way of keeping score.
I believe- that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have
the best time.
I believe- that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're
down, will be the ones to help you get back up.
I believe- that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.
I believe- that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want
them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
I believe- that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences
you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how
many birthdays you've celebrated.
I believe- that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes you
have to learn to forgive yourself.
I believe- that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't
stop for your grief.
I believe- that our background and circumstances may have influenced who
we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I believe- that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they
don't love each other And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean
they do.
I believe- that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could
change your life forever.
I believe- that two people can look at the exact same thing and see
something totally. different.
I believe- that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people
who don't even know you.
I believe- that even when you think you have no more to give, when a
friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.
I believe- that credentials on the wall
do not make you a decent human being.
I believe- that the people you care about most in life are taken from
you too soon.
Send this to all the people YOU BELIEVE In... I just did
I just found out today, my friend of 20 years has 3-6 months to live.
She doesn't know however, as her family feels she'll give up completely.
Her only chance is prayer. She has broken bones in her bottom, the
cancer has spread through her entire mid section: overies, etc. Her leg
is so far gone, she will never walk again. I'm having a really
difficult time with this. I feel guilty for moving in 2 1/2 weeks, and I
don't know where she stands with God. I am so afraid for her soul.
Because of how her family has felt about religion and church, I don't
know how much praying is actually going on. They all agree that all we
can do is pray now and miricles happen. At least they agree with me when
I say it. Whether they really believe it or not, I don't know. She is on
morphine patches and a nurse comes to give her a shot a few times a
week. She is almost like a skelatan and has lost just about all her
hair. She is in a hospital bed in the livingroom because the ambulance
can't get the guerney down their hall. Please pray for her to be healed
and her soul.

GETTING AROUND:
Pay no attention to the street names.
There's no school on School Street, no court on Court Street, no dock on
Dock Square, no water on Water Street.
Back Bay streets are in alphabetical order, Arlington, Berkeley,
Clarendon, Dartmouth. So are South Boston streets: A, B, C, D.
If the streets are named after trees (Walnut, Chestnut, Cedar), you're
on Beacon Hill.
If they're named after poets, you're in Wellesley.
All avenues are properly referenced by their nicknames: Comm Ave. is
Commonwealth Ave., Mass Ave. is Massachusetts Ave., Dot Ave. is
Dorchester, Rozzie is Roslindale, JP is Jamaica Plain. Readville doesn't
exist.

Southie is South Boston. The South End is the South End. Eastie is East
Boston.
The North End is east of the West End.
The West End and Scollay Square are no more - a guy named Rappaport got
rid of them one night.

DEFINITIONS:
Frappes have ice cream; milk shakes don't.
If it's fizzy and flavored, it's tonic.
Soda is club soda.
Pop is Dad.
When we mean tonic WATER, we say tonic WATER.
The smallest beer is a pint.
Scrod is whatever they tell you it is, usually fish. If you paid more
than $6 a pound, you got scrod.
It's not a water fountain, it's a bubblah (Bubbler).
It's not a trash can, it's a barrel.
It's not a shopping cart, it's a carriage.
It's not a purse, it's a pocketbook.
It's not a liquor store, it's a packie.
Brown bread comes in a can. You open both ends, push it out, heat it and
eat it with baked beans.
They're not franks, they're haht dahgs (hot dogs). Franks are money in
France.

They'll tow it to Meffa (Medford) or Slumaville (Somerville).
Don't swim in the Charles (River), no matter what Bill Weld tells you.
Don't sleep in the Common (Boston Common).
Don't wear orange in Southie on St. Patrick's Day.
-----------------------------
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
There are two State Houses, two City Halls, two courthouses, two Hancock
buildings (one old, one new).
Route 128 is also I-95. It is also I-93.
It's the Sox (Red Sox), the Pats (or Patsies if they're losing)
(Patriots), the Seltz (Celtics), the Broons (Bruins).
The underground train is not a subway. It's the T, and it doesn't run
all
night, (fah chrysakes, this ain't Noo Yawk).
Hi Leann
I am so sorry to hear of the judges decision. Please don't ever think that
no one cares...I care and you have to keep fighting...not only for yourself,
but for all of us out here with this DD. Like I keep trying to tell
myself...tomorrow is going to better and sooner are later I really believe
this will happen.
Just never forget there are some people that care! My prayers are with you,
take care of your-self.
