Friday morning I go to see the SS Disability Appeals Court Judge in
hopes he'll finally grant me disability. His name is Judge Miller. I
feel it's a plus that he's really made it clear that he wants to see me,
otherwise he could just make a decision based on my file. He also wanted
to let me know that it will be as stress free as possible and not longer
than a hour. I called and found out it will be in a hearing room which
is a small room with just a table for me to sit at and his bench.
Depending on the Judge and whether or not he feels my case is strong
enough based on my file alone, will depend on if he needs to see my
roommate and my friend, Richard. I really need full disability, as it
will be hard to find a part - time job to pay what limit they set, but,
also it's just very hard on me, having to work and worry about money.
Also, with disability, I will be able to get put on Medicaid for medical
insurance in Florida. Florida doesn' t have a state wide insurance for
people with limited income, like Tennessee (TennCare + Bluecross =
BlueCare) and I can't get insurance on my own with my pre-existing
condition, unless I have a full time job. Therefore, disability is my
only real hope, since working full time is exhausting for me, since I
don't sleep at night. If the Judge grants me it, I will receive back
pay from June 1998!

Please keep me in your prayers on this matter. I also have a cold and I
hope I'm well enough by Friday morning so I won't have to have tissues,
etc with me in the room. Please also pray that I don't get too
emotional while I'm telling the Judge the information he needs. I tear
up very easily when discussing what I go through and what I have gone
through over the past 2 and a half years. I don't know how the Judge
would respond to emotions. I've discribed my condition in my website,
just below my name. I hope all of you that go though the same thing with
Fibromyalgia, the best. I know you all know what I'm dealing with.
