Is there any wonder our country is in its current condition? Could it possibly
be the unacceptable work ethic of those elected to govern?

We cannot lie to Congress but they can certainly lie to us. They spend millions
questioning major league sports. So we can assume that is more important than
fixing say, Social Security? Or the unconstitutional acts of government? Or the
never ending list of government meddling, such as in health care?

Legislative bills are being passed by our elected representatives with little
knowledge of just what their vote is about. This happens for the simplest of
reasons; they do not bother to read them, nor to break it down and have staff
members read them, relying instead on the spin by the author(s) and supporters.
This lack of conscientious representation borders on being as criminal as a con
game.

They say `get out and vote'. We do, but the choices are bad and worse. Then we
have to deal with the government funded organizations like ACORN. We have given
the vermin control of the hen house, and there is never an egg that has not been
compromised.
