Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to pop in and let everyone know. Though I am the one
doing the basic management for this list, and though I am a moderator

I am here strictly in a management sense since Denise is new to the

I will be lurking to make sure the list remains free from spam. There
are only going to be four rules in this group. Please take the steps
to avoid breaking them.

    THE RULES:

1. NO HTML EMAILS (If you use your own font inside of Outlook Express

3. No Spam

4. It is our opinion, and their is documented evidence to support
our opinion, that Ozone machines are a health hazard to those
who use them. You may discuss Ozone machines on this list, but
you had better not advertise them!

[We have had people ask us to drop this rule, on the basis that
they believe we have our facts wrong. Your opinion is that we

Hello,

my daughter has had eczema pretty much since she was born-she's 4 now.
2 winters ago she had small spots almost all over, but not as bad as I
have heard of people having it and not in the typical spots. Then
since last winter and all through the summer she had it only on her
wrist. It has now gotten worse. She rubbed it during the night so it
looked like she had a rug burn about 2 months ago. Today she scratched
it to bleeding.

We had her re-tested using the skin prick test recently. (I don't
remember really what the specifics of her first test are/were and they
didn't give us any information, just the results). She is now only
mildly allergic to milk, and moderately allergic to dust mites, dog
and cat dander. Milk-wise, I think we can ignore that--just don't go
nuts with it. We don't have any pets. So this leaves us with tackling
the mites.

What does it mean to be moderately allergic according to a skin prick
test? Should we get her tested a different way (RAST?? etc). How
crazy do we have to get. We bought pillow and mattress covers from
linen's n things-100% cotton. Are those "good enough" or do we need to
go to a specialist? Her area rug is gone, as are a few others around
the house. We're dust mopping or wet mopping her room 2-3 times a
week. Can I get away with only washing the bedding every two weeks?
I've been slathering on the vaseline on her hands at night and
covering it.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Where can I go for good
resources that don't just cover the basics? There must be a difference
between mild, moderate, and severe allergies, so shouldn't we treat
them differently? I tried searching the archives here, but didn't
really come up with what I was looking for.

thank you for your time,

Vestris

Hi all,

Since many of you are aware of allergies, here is one solution which might
help some people from breathing all the chemicals from detergents which
can affect people's health. This is an an environmentally safe product which
could help to improve your health.

I attached some articles which you may also find interesting:
   1) A better way to do laundry
   2) Comparison of using new product and laundry detergent
   3) Testimonials of some of users of the product
   4) EcoH to eliminate stains
   5) Stain test documentation

If anyone is interested in learning more, please visit website below for
details.

   America's Newest Appliance -
No Suds Revolution in your home!

You are now going to hear about an new appliance which was just released to
the public a few months ago and is called LaundryPure which is starting the No
Suds Revolution. You could be the first in your neighborhood and family to own
the latest state-of-art machine in your home. This machine is 28.5 inches wide,
by 9.5 inches TALL and it is designed to be hooked up to your standard washing
machine.

Water flows through the LaundryPure, and is treated in a reactor chamber by
Space-certified technology that originated from the NASA Space Program. Silver
Ions, and Tiny Micro Bubbles from a Natural Catalytic reaction go into the water
stream. Those Micro bubbles and Silver Ions bubble, fizz and lift out the dirt,
and sanitize the laundry by killing bacteria, without the use of hot water, and
… totally without the need for laundry detergent! Collectively, these are the
first benefits of the No Suds Revolution.

How many of you sort your clothes before washing? You put the whites in one
pile, the colors in another. It's a tedious chore that nobody likes to do and
eats up your precious time!! For most families, you will have one small load of
whites, and then a medium load of COLORS. You wash the whites once, unload the
machine … then load the machine again, put in the Laundry Detergent and do
another load. Well you know what?? Our initial evaluations found that you don't
need to separate the clothes! (Let experience be your guide.) They were nervous
at first, but soon found out that you can throw most clothes in ... wash them
together ... and have no color bleeding!!! Time Savings for today’s ultra busy
men and women! That is the second benefit of the No Suds Revolution.

Have you ever done a load of wash, and forgotten to take it out right away?
Maybe after half a day, when you take it out, it has a sour smell? That sour
smell is from bacteria and detergent residue in the clothes!!! We have had
evaluations over this past year, that purposely left their clothes in the
washing machine, and did not take them out for 2-3 days. The clothes still
smelled sunshine fresh. The clothes were sanitized, and treated with silver Ions
which protects against odors and bacteria on a long term basis! That benefit #3
of the No Suds Revolution.

Laundry detergent chemical residues that are in your clothes oftentimes cause
itchiness and rashes when coming into contact with your skin. With LaundryPure,
in most cases, people find immediate relief from these conditions from clothes
washed through our system, because this old build up of chemicals in the fabric
is eliminated. No more harmful chemicals right by your skin! Your skin is the
largest organ of your body, and it absorbs and breathes. (Did you know that if
you put fresh garlic between your toes, that you will be able to taste it in
your mouth within a few minutes? This experiment graphically illustrates how
your skin absorbs what is around it.) Put chemicals by your skin, and guess what
your body absorbs? With LaundryPure, there are no chemical residues to build up
in your clothes! That's benefit #4 of the No Suds Revolution.

In Laundry Powder, there is a grit called ZEOLITE. Zeolite particles help to
scrub your clothes clean. However, as it scrubs, picture it grinding away at
your fabric and fibers ... wearing away and aging your clothes!!! In contrast,
our LaundryPure bubbles are easy on the clothes. Rather, than the grinding and
the wearing, we are just bubbling, breaking down, and lifting out the dirt,
sweat and grime, while getting them clean and Sanitized!!! Longer lasting
sanitized clothes, towels and bedding! That's benefit #5 of the No Suds
Revolution..

You might be wondering how you can eliminate those difficult stains which
exist in
my clothes periodically. We have another product called EcoH which is
concentrated but is used to eliminate typical stains which can occur in your
clothes.

By now, a question that is probably burning in your mind is, how much does
this LaundryPure cost? Well I’m happy to tell you it costs 4 easy payments of
$190 without any interest including shipping. Half of you are thinking, WOW!
What a bargain! I want one now or save one for Christmas!

That’s more expensive than my washing machine! Well that's a great
observation. But did you ever consider that your washing machine never ever paid
for itself!! The LaundryPure will pay for itself!! You see, without LaundryPure,
you are trapped in a vicious cycle to buy detergent, fabric softener, and bleach
for the rest of your life!!

When LaundryPure eliminates the need for laundry detergent, you have been set
free from that vicious cycle!! You are never ever going to walk down that isle,
and pick-up or pay for detergent ever again! Furthermore, you will be set free
from ever paying another penny on your Electric or Heating Bill to heat the
water to wash your clothes. No more washing your money down the drain!! These
savings that LaundryPure makes possible, is how it pays for itself! It's like
getting the machine for free!

Furthermore, LaundryPure is probably one of the soundest investments that you
can make!!! Within 2-5 years, the LaundryPure will give you a 100% return on
your investment! Then it will continue to pay you in continued savings even
after it has paid for itself. I challenge you to find a Stock, or a CD deposit
that will pay you as handsomely as that. That's benefit #6 of the No Suds
Revolution.

If your interested in learning more about this revolutionary product, please
visit http://www.laundryplus.com/makingmoney using passcode of guest or call
1-800-213-8920 to leave a message or press 1 to contact a distributor
immediately.

Thursday November 2, 2006 Internet Health Sites: Don't Believe
Everything You Read: The Internet has been a real boon when it comes
to finding out a little something on just about anything.

But the question has always been: who can you trust? The answer could
affect your health.

According to new research, millions of Internet users regularly use
the web to search for information about the most important thing in
the life of every family - their own health.

But few are actually checking the sources of the information they
read. And that's a recipe for trouble.

There are no checks and balances on the net and anyone can publish
anything they want.

Some information is real.

Other sources are more suspect, perhaps designed to give you
information that will lead you to buy something from them to cure what
ails you.

And many simply cut and paste articles from other areas on the web
without attribution, spreading false information like a virus.

A survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, a non-profit
think tank, found more than 10 million people down south regularly go
to a health site to discover data about what's bothering them.

Many visit multiple sites and claim to be looking for knowledge to
help others, not themselves.

But only 15 percent admitted they seek out a source for what they're
reading, and only 25 percent agreed they occasionally check the date
to see how old the information is.

Pew blames not only the searcher but the provider. The group claims
few health sites actually give a source for their information, making
it difficult to trace just where the facts came from.

The most common things you look for:

* Articles on specific diseases * Notes on medical treatments, * Info
on exercise, * Advice about nutrition, * Side effects and background
on prescription drugs and * Lists of alternative medicines.

Most also confessed they used a common search engine, like Google or
Yahoo, to find what they're hunting.

"The question is whether consumers are doing the best that they can by
going to general search engines," warns research Susannah Fox.

But a new trend may alter that prescription. Several new health-only
search engines have been launched that promise to send surfers to
credible sites.

They include:

Healthline.com/Medstory.com/Healia.com, Mammahealth.com and Kosmix.com.

Bad medical information, like bad treatment, can be catastrophic.

In one case study, a one-year-old boy suffering from diarrhea wound up
in the hospital because his parents followed bogus advice they'd read
online.

The authors of that report concluded that "harm could happen before
patients interact with health professionals, as information found on
the Internet may lead to delays in seeking attention."

So what's the best way to tell if what you're reading is legit?

Look at who runs the web site, what their medical qualifications are
and how up-to-date the information is. And as a precaution, talk about
your concerns and what you've read with your doctor. He or she can
definitely separate fact from fiction.

Hello Dear Group,

This group, on first look, seems to have a lot of good people looking
for relief from the ravages of tender cells over-reacting to otherwise
'normal' stimuli. As a respiratory therapist for these many years I
have both seen many others in distress and had a share of my own along
the way. I must add that these problems have not included asthma, I am
blessed to say.

My allergies began while in So.Fla. living on nearly a half acre of
very green land. Turned out I was ALLERGIC to the GRASS and had to mow
it everyweekend, or so it seemed. I flowed like a townsquare
fountain, continuous sneezing and pouring fluid from my nose and eyes
burning and itching like crazy. Around that time I got hooked on Afrin
for sinus problems and hated the rebound effect that resulted. I
wanted a non-medicinal way to manage things because working in a
hospital I knew (know) all medicine has down side effects.

Long story shortened, I found a Dr. Christopher herbal product
(renamed now, Nature's Sunshine or close) called HAS, standing for
headache allergy sinus. The best thing about it besides working pretty
well was the pseudo-epinephrine in it. Herbs alone didn't help it
seemed. Then I came upon a method to use for the next 25 years called
G-Jo acupressure and met the man who wrote the best book I've ever
seen on the subject; simple and fast first aid to use for a couple of
hundred symptoms and situations.

This basic handbook's part on allergy doesn't care what the irritant
is, it says "allergies, non-specific. There are seven points listed.
As I said everyone of them were pushed at one time or another, but
three were used most often. Eighty percent of us will respond to acu
pressure or puncture, not a bad percentage. These particular acupoints
release our bodies natural histamines, giving the same sort of calming
if a pill was taken without the side effects.

This season I tired of pushing the points, went for ONE acupuncture
treatment and am (so far) allergy free, what a pleasant state that is.

I am excited today, as I begin a weekend class to learn how to help
animals with allergies given by a German naturopath/kinesiologist. I
am trained in gentle muscle testing too and have worked a little with
'cribbing' horses but never had an actual dedicated program to use.
She says the technique works on humans too, but 'we are more
difficult'. I agree.

Anyway, if you read this whole ramble, thanks for your time, I am
happy to be here, hope you are too,

BoomerFred

I used to itch the roof of my mouth when i drank blue grape juice i wonder if
that is considered an allergy.

I had testing done with food stuff so
lima beans
black pepper
lamb
pork
walnuts
cashews

though that didn't answer my question of food sensitivity for getting migraines.
I know i react to black pepper
thank you for sharing

Looking for a steam-only rug cleaning service to do 300 square feet of wall to
wall, plus another 100 square feet of area rugs (may be real orientals or not).
This will be in the Detroit area

I ran across a small idependent operation years ago, and the truck
owner/operator told me the steam really does all the work, but he added scented
"juice" just to let people know he had done the cleaning. The trick would be to
make sure you are the first job of the day and the tank was clean. But that
sounds like asking for trouble if any "juice" remains in the equipment. I am
aware of one person who actually acquired MCS and had to replace their
furnishings due to incorrect rug cleaning in their home. Better if there is a
company that uses steam only.

Anybody had success (or failure) with rug cleaning?

   Thanks.

Be carefull with baby ibuprofen, my doctor told me that it is a lot
more concentrated than regular one. Just because babies can't take
more than a few drops. Read the labels first ans see how much nedicine
it contains. I don't take any of that anyway now. I am all for the
natural products and had helped us a lot.
Almost no medicines at home! I love it!

Well, I had the test and the results came back negative to everything, but she
said since I had the Oral Allergy Syndrome( burning on the roof of my mouth
after only a fingertip of PB) with the Peanut Butter and tingling sensation in
my mouth after eating my moms chicken stew/soup with lima beans, corn, green
beans, peas carrots, potatoes maybe celery( cant remember), and beef ravioli, i
have to avoid them for good. I did however find an excellent alternative to PB,
it is called SUNBUTTER. www.sunbutter.com yummy although some people have
allergies to sunflowers too, where this is made there is NO PEANUTS grown, so NO
PEANUTS are ever in the factory it is all explained in the website. I bought 4
jars at 4.79 each. Wegmans carries it in Natures Marketplace in their store.
and I found it in GreenStar CO-OP ( naural food store) here in Ithaca, NY

The only time i take benadryl on top of my loratadine(generic Claritin) is
because my top of the roof of my mouth is itching so bad that the daytime
stuff isn't working.

I just feel weird when my allergies are bothering me(like out of it) and i
have to take the benadryl, it doesn't affect me the same way when my
allergies are really bad.

sounds like you may be allergic to the NSAID you are taking. i would be
careful not that your asthma kicks in when taking it.

I know with me
toradol
naproxen
baby motrin all makes my asthma kick in and i got hives from the naproxen. i
was suppose to take that for PMS and the first day or two i got hives,
suck.
i am running out of pain meds for my migraines.

my doctor just gave me clarinex to try this time.

yea it is weird huh? keeps me from always being in the hospital though, so
i guess its a good thing. I take claritin every day, but i only take
benadryl if my allergies r so bad i havent slept in days, cause it knocks me
right out but i feel totally crappy and out of it for the whole next day

motrin makes me itchy sometimes, but its worth putting up with!

I have worked on just using baby ibuprofen just to try a little at a time.
my PCP doctor, who now has quit his practice, put me on proxican and that
works for me since i am allergic to everything else.

sounds like me
the only time i take benadryl is when my mouth itches to the point i can't
stand it and that is when i am on the claritin

Hi, mi name is Mariana Abadie, my husband has asthma and sometimes
allergies, he's been using from ventolin to advair but recently a
friend of mine recomend me to switch all my cleaning products to a
wellness company. Since then, my husband was able to sleep better and
use very few medicine (actually only when he is sick, like a cold or
flu) This products are even gentle for babies, they have no harsh
chemicals and no fillings. We buy everything on the internet at a
wholesale price for a small yearly membership. I love it and we are
healthier. if you think this can help anyone, let me know and i ask
her for more info on the products and how to get the membership. I
paid $29 a year but I think now they have a special of 1/2 that price.
This company works only by referals, I am suppose to be able to help
people buy here but haven't done it yet. The name is Melaleuca (the
wellness company).
Hope it helps!

arunpbisoy <arunpbisoy@...> wrote:
           Hi everybody,
I am an alternative medicine practitioner. It is well known that
Asthma is a psychosomatic disease and any therapy using only drugs
gives limited or temporary relief. I have been having great success
in helping people with asthma using a combination of mind power
technique and biochemic medicines. I am reproducing the transcript
of the mind power tape which alone has brought great relief in many
cases. In fact I have been using it for many other problems as well.
As there is no medicine involved, it is completely safe. Even if you
are sceptical there is no harm in trying. Results can be felt within
a few days if it is done sincerely three times a day.

You can record the transcript and play it back. If you need the
recording in mp3 format or further assistance I will be glad to help.
I urge everyone sufferring from asthma to try it. I guarantee that
you will be sending me happy notes within a few days. If you need
help please let me know.

TOTAL MIND POWER TECHNIQES (TMP)
Asthma Transcript

Repeat this Total Mind Power technique three times a day for best
results. If it is your child who is sufferring from asthma and is too
small to follow this procedure then you can do it for him/her. Just
imagine that the colourd light is entering his body and healing it.
Just replace the child's name whereever necessary.

1. Select a place where you will not be disturbed. Lie down or sit in
a high backed chair so that you can rest your head comfortably.

2. Close your eyes and for a few moments focus your attention on your
body from head to toe. As you focus on each part feel all tension
leaving it and that part relaxing. (Don't be too bothered if you are
not completely relaxed, continue with the procedure. As you repeat
this technique you will be more and more relaxed). After you finish
relaxing focus your attention on your breathing. Observe the inflow
and outflow of breath through your nostrils.

3. In your mind say to yourself, "I recognise myself as a magnificent
human being. My will is the stronest force in all creation. I
acknowledge the fact that my mind is all powerful in bringing into
reality that which I want to come about".

4. Now visualise the color orange. Don't bother if you can't 'see'
the color just imagine/intend that it is there. Visualize/imagine a
beautiful orange color all around you. Imagine that the air itself a
bright orange color.

3. Take a deep breath and as you inhale visualize or imagine
breathing in long streams of the orange colored air. Be conscious of
the orange color entering your nasal passages and filling your lungs.
Now visualize/imagine that the orange colored light is spreading
throughout your body. Let your consciousness follow its passage to
differrent parts of your body and be aware of the relaxation that
envelopes your body and mind. Repeat this breathing exercise two more
times. (3 times in all).

4. Now say the following words in your mind. "Through the miraculous
power of my energised mind and the supreme intelligence of my higher
self, I will that, at this moment, the universal healing energy of
orangeness with its unlimited healing powers be focussed throughout
my respiratory system. I will that the unlimited healing power
contained within the universal energy of orangeness be released into
my body and mind, freeing me from asthmatic attacks and respiratory
illnesses and returning me from this point forward to perfect and
unmarred physical and mental health".

5. Now take a deep breath and visualize/imagine the inflow of the
orange colored light into your body and mind. Let the universal
enregy of orangeness concentrate its healing strength throughout your
respiratory system. Repeat the breathing two more times and each time
be aware of the new added strength being introduced into your mind
and body as the universal energy of orangeness does its work.

6. Now relax and observe inflow and outflow of your normal breath
through your nostrils. Feel the deep relaxation as all stress has
left your body bringing in calm and tranquility.

7. Repeat the following in your mind, "Through the miraculous power
of my higher self and the unlimited healing powers released by the
universal energy of orangeness I am free of all asthmatic attacks.
Asthmatic attacks will no longer come in the way of my body's natural
desire to be perfectly healthy. With the force of my energised mind I
will that my body and mind are now moving towards a state of perfect
health".

8. Now with your mind's eye visualize or imagine that you are free of
asthmatic attacks are are able to breathe normally without any aids.
See yourself doing whatever you could not do because of your asthma.
If you have been under medical treatment imagine meeting your doctor
and hear him say that all the tests show that you are now completely
free of asthma and will no longer need any aids or medicines. Hear
him say that he is happy for you and surprised that you have
recovered so fast.

Note:
1. There is no need to stop taking your medicines. But be sure to
get your prescription revised as you start getting relief.
2. I also recommend Biochemic medicines to assist in speeding up
the process but the above technique has worked wonders by itself .
The asthma and all other symptoms have to be studied as Biochemic
Medicines are prescribed wholistically. They are made from mineral
salts which are already present in the body and thus completely safe.

Wishing you all a speedy recovery.

Regards.
