12 Steps to recovery is chat group; a place for people in recovery to share their experience, strength and hope. We are primarily an email based group, HOWEVER we have a live chat group Sunday at 11AM Pacific, 2PM Atlantic (-5 GMT).

This is a closed group. Only those who are in recovery may join.

When you join this group, we ask that you agree to two rules:

1) No personal attacks. It's OK to disagree, but please, remain civil.
2) No smut, spam, business related materials (even if your business is recovery related) or other material not directly related to recovery.

While we utilize the 12 Steps and 12 Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous to guide us, we allow people to discuss other things that effect their sobriety. Drug addiction (prescription or street drugs), sexual orientation, mental health issues, family problems, problems with the law, Religion or anything else that has effects on a persons sobriety is acceptable discussion here, as long as it isn't in violation of the two rules mentioned above. In short, we allow people to discuss things which are normally taboo at regular AA meetings.

Love, patience, tolerance and acceptance are our watchwords. May you feel this here and share it with others as we find our way into and through recovery.
