I know from my experience that when our special children hit
milestones, even if its just holding up their head for a few
seconds, it is huge and very exciting! When they accomplish
something that we weren't ever sure would happen we are so proud.
So that leads me to the next question for this week-- What has been
your 11q child's most recent milestone or accomplishment?

And here's my answer(s)to this question--

We were so excited when Zachary (age 5 1/2) started walking on his
own about 3 weeks ago. He has been so stubborn about trying for so
long and it turns out we just had to leave him alone and let him
figure it out on his own. He is still very wobbly and uneasy, but
he's getting better everyday!

We are also very proud of Brayden (turns 8 today). He has recently
learned how to feed himself with a spoon. He has been doing it
since Christmas. It's generally pretty messy, but he manages to get
most of it in his mouth. With 2 JS kids and a 16 month old baby, we
have been spoon feeding 3 kids for a while now. It is nice to be
down to 2 and hopefully they will all be eating on their own soon!
