When you go to the doctor, don't let him treat you unless you feel comfortable and safe with him/her. I have been watching my husband's new doctor and feel real good about the way the doctor is treating him and almost have enough nerve to make an appt. for myself. I have not had a check up in more than 10 years due to fear and distrust.
Sometimes finding out as much as you can about the doctor can help. Some of them have websites which list their credentials. Maybe you could try that?
Good luck, and as the previous responder mentioned, the possibility of having a mole removed (if that is necessary), can be very simple.

My name is Ellen. I'm new to the group, and have a serious fear of
doctors. I have a mole on my arm that I need to have looked at, and
I'm terrified of what will happen as far as whether I'll need surgery
to remove it or not. My appointment isn't until September 4th, and
I'm already going nuts with worry. Any suggestions? Thanks.
