Hi, I'm new to the group. I have a very unusual fear and I
apologize up front for being graphic. But my fear is called
emetophobia. It is a fear of nausau and vomiting. This phobia has
totally controlled my life for years. All types of therapies have
been tried but nothing works. I have fibroid tumors and I need to
have a surgical procedure to remove the fibroids. It's a non-
cancerous condition of the uterus. The fibroids are growing very
large and my dr has recommended either a hysterectomy or at the very
least just remove the fibroids. I am terrified of doctors,
hospitals, surgery, because all of it could possibly cause nausau or
vomiting....specifically due to the anesthesia. I don't know which
way to turn. I'm terrified and at a loss. PLEASE HELP WITH
STORIES, INFO, whatever anyone can provide.
