I asked the same question. They wouldn't even give me gas!!! Just the shot
in the back. That is the part I hate. Yes, back tooth...i better research

My doc takes 1/2 for a RC. He gives gas an novacaine And pain pills. And antibiotics (in case). No big deal. Shop for doc that gives nerve stuff. (gas-valium)....
