When you go back you have to ask him about that. If there is no nerve left in
that tooth, how could it hurt. But I know that nerves are funny things. Their
can be a problem someplace and you can feel it in another place. But you
probably got the worst over with. See what he says.
Was it a back tooth he worked on? I have such a terrible fear of the dentist
I cant even begin to tell you. I dont know why. My last visit was about a
year ago, but now I have a major toothache. I know I need a root canal
because last time I was there he put a temporary filling in the tooth and I
was supposed to go back and I put it off. Now the temporary filling is
starting to fade away : ( I joined this list because I just spoke to my
friend whos wife works for a dentist and she told me that a root canal on a
back tooth takes about 1 1/2 hrs. When I heard that I panicked and here I am.
What a miserable problem this is. Does it really take 1 1/2 hrs to do a root
canal on a back tooth? And she also said it takes more then 1 trip to do it.
Boy am I glad I found you guys. Does anyone use a dentist that gives a
patient something to relax them other then Gas?

My doc takes 1/2 for a RC. He gives gas an novacaine And pain pills. And antibiotics (in case). No big deal. Shop for doc that gives nerve stuff. (gas-valium)....
