Can't they give you some temporary dentures so you can chew
some soft bread?
It seems they can fashion it with temp compound. The stuff
that hardens in a few minutes...
And isn't glued or anything. It would pop on on and off, and
just give you something that "meets".
Also, keep some "Ensure" around. Vanilla or Chocolate!
My sutures took about 3 weeks. The dentist wanted me back in
10 days, but --
(well, I had "some chewing power on one side.. not much
power, but vvvvery soft stuff is my diet for the whole
year!!!!!)
--well I took 3 months to come back. It such major surgery
for me...
they couldn't pull out some roots, so he "screwed" a
corkscrew thingy into the roots, then took root lifters into
my jaw, practically put his knee on my chest, almost lifted
my ass out ot the chair!!!!!... Oh yeh, SURE I'M GOING TO
GO BACK THERE IN 10 DAYS!
(Glad I only had work done on one side!)
You can cut the things short, dude...... but ask first, just
in case.
Tell him you will rinse with "whatever" he recommends...
antiseptic stuff...?
How many days post-op are you?
Keep an eye out for infection!!!! KEep a thermometer handy..
Sounds like you will be chewing bones soon with your doggy.
I love your page! And how could anyone not love your doggy!
I have a Chihuahua and 8 cats!
