Hey, folks

I just had 15 teeth removed so I can get full upper and lower
dentures which will hopefully improve my speech with a cleft palate.
So far, no pain (praise GOD) though there is still quite a bit of
bruising around the lower jaw and swelling. (I thought my upper and
lower gums would meet with no teeth in between but they still don't
come close to each other so I'm basically on a liquid diet.)

My biggest discomfort is from a mouthful of absorbable sutures
(dissolvable stitches). I feel like I have a mouth full of guitar
strings!! The doctor said they'd dissolve in a week, but it will be
a week tomorrow and they show no sign of changing. How much longer
will they be in there? And when they do "dissolve", will they snap
off and choke me in my sleep? Toothless grin.
