Hi everyone. I've not been to dentist for at least 10 years or
more. Will I be frowned upon because of this?
I live with/look after my disabled Mother here in England so I cannot
afford dental insurance or anything like that. Would it be easier for
me to travel abroad (naturally I'd have to save flat out as being on
benefits I do not have much,if any, 'spare cash') or should I seek a
caring, understanding Dentist in another part of the country that is
good with what would certainy be a 'nervous patient'?
I even thought of approaching a dental college somewhere in the UK to
see if I could get my teeth looked at/dealt with for free.
From the outside my teeth look fine..but when I look in mirror with
one of those dental mirror things there is a mass build up of
plaque/yellow.Also, I did lose a upper back tooth last year...the hole
where it was is black..and just recently lost a chunk of tooth from
the lower..for a month or so I've been in a bit of pain with
toothache...I'm living on Paracetamol 500mg to ease pain.As I asked
above, will I be frowned upon? I currently have no dentist.Im in
Norfolk (UK) which has a shortage of NHS dentists which are willing to
accept new patients so any help would be very much appreciated.I must
admit I am scared of going..Im not going to lie and say Im not...Im 35
by the way.If anyone knows of anything which may be able to help me
I'd certainly give it a try,Thanks again.Regards from Norfolk (England)
