So does my father......and so do i. You really need the time to read the
research. The judges read it and they have decided there is enough
validity to force the California dentists to issue warnings in their
offices. What do you answer to this? These are judges who have to read
the information and decipher what is sensational and what is hogwash and
hyperbole. , and someone correct me if I am wrong, but the Dentists in
California have to state the dangers on their office brochures.
But there are many people who's illnesses diminish in severity when the
metal is removed. It is mercury, not stainless steel. It is soft and it
is NOT silver. It is mercury, a known toxic substance which is
continuously absorbed and collected in the body. You can see it in brain
scans. Why have other modern countries banned its use in dental work? No
one answers this question.
My protest is that some fillings are more old, broken, "leaking" (which
I think is the wrong word to use) than others. My question is, what is
so wrong with playing it safe by keeping the stuff out of your body if
there is another option. Why wait for more and more and more proof? You
saw how the proof was finally found and kept from the public with the
tobacco industry.
We are so bombarded with environmental pollutants in our economic
centered world, that why shouldn't we try to keep as much toxic stuff
out of our bodies when we have the option to.? I am not advocating
ripping out all the metal. Just the ones that need it the most. And in
the process, use a compatible plastic, (which binds better, insulates
the tooth better, looks better, and lasts just as long when done
properly?) It takes a bit longer, and ok, instead of $40 for a tiny
filling, it costs $75. but procedures can be stretched out over time. I
can see more ads for mainstream dentists offering "white" fillings for
affordable prices.

this is nonsense . i am a dentist and i have silver
filling in my mouth for ten years and i am as healthy
as anybody . my father has silver filling for 40 yres
and he is healthy . tell me one person who has got
mercury toxicity and i will leave dentistry .its like
there is potassium in potassium cyanide which kills
but its also there in carrots . do u stop eating
carrot as it has potassium . mercury isnt released
from silver fillings . ony person who could be at risk
of mercury poisoning is dentist himself if he is
careless . if u want change of fillings for cosmetic
reasons its fine but please health wise it doesnt
matter. u know if every american changes his silver
fillings its windfall of billions of dollars for
dentists so they are also advocating mercury free
clinics.
its plain hyperbole.
