Dearest Swami-G,
***Thank you for your answers. I'm not too proud to say I really
don't know what I'm doing, but just trying to do the best I know how
and am receptive to learning.***

***I think I catch your drift here. Not practice as in going through
the motions in a superficial way and having an idea of "Hey, I'm
getting better at this", but letting blocks get undone and allowing
the natural flow to take place without interfering...a perfection of
stilling and surrender.***

***If someone comes to you with tension or pain in a particular area,
related to a particular movement and wants you to address it as a
massage therapist...you think to yourself, "OK, if this is the
movement and this is where the pain or tension is...it's related to
such and such muscles and the muscle origin is here....the insertion
is there, the fibers run in this direction and I will address it in
such a such a way." I refer back to my anatomical knowledge bank to
get what I need, then proceed with the centered breath. I'm
completely open to a new approach, if this is hindering the process.
The knowledge and detailed technique is not quite second nature to me
yet, so it seems there is still some required thinking involved at
times. How do I apply what you're trying to teach me to the work I
seemingly do? I think maybe I'm looking at this completely wrong.***

***When I made the decision to get into massage/bodywork, it was
because I appreciate the connection between mind/body/spirit and
wanted to help people in a meaningful way that they can't receive
from a traditional medical doctor who is only looking at symptoms and
not the entire person. I want to make sure I don't go down that road
as well (by focusing on sections of a person and not the whole), and
can connect with people in a way that is beneficial and helpful and
healing to them as well as myself, physically, mentally and
spiritually. A sense of love and connectedness was the drive behind
this career choice. But I don't just see it as a career...I see it
as my life path and a way to give myself away. I look forward to
what I may learn from you and how to make the most of this path of
healing for everyone's sake. The feedback I've had from clients of
my work so far has been very positive and inspiring, and I've already
got people raving and lining up to be regulars when I finally get
licensed next month. Everything so far has been on a
student/internship level. It seems I'm doing something very right,
but something is definitely lacking...understanding, clarity, I don't
know.***

***I've just begun a program at another school where I'll be learning
how to approach structure and energy together through massage based
on western and eastern theories...and I hope this brings a better
understanding. I have to get all my required hours of training in so
I can work if I move From Texas, which might happen. I hold your
teachings and Zero Point energy work in the highest regard. I
understand it is not just a modality, but a complete path...and I
would like my outer life and my inner life to be fully integrated on
all levels. I'm sincere and dedicated to this.***
Thank you again for being open with me, and willing to offer guidance
and your valuable time. What can I possibly offer you in return?
Namaste,
John
