Swami-G and group,
Namaste
Namaste. Wish you all well. Just had a couple of questions
about
how this kind of energy work leaves the
giver/channeler...energetically, that is. Does working on others
balance or re-organize your own energy as well? Is there ever a
feeling of being drained or worn down during/after or the
opposite
effect of feeling charged up?
S: There is no change when one remains in still mind.
Sometimes one can pick up
on a particular symptom and feel it in the body briefly, but the
sensation is
transient and without mentation. The work is a meditation in
itself... it is a
a path unto itself. When working.. the energy moves through
ones own body
and adjusts out.. as the consciousness clears... the body
becomes more of
a clear, direct channel... the body is more stable with less
movement.
I spoke with a massage instructor, and she says she only
performs
massage in combination with Reiki...because otherwise she
becomes
drained of energy...the Reiki helps keep the energy from being
drained from her (does some of the work for her without using
her
energy), and is very healing for the client as well. I thought this
was a very interesting thing, but she couldn't explain much more
than
that, or maybe didn't want to, I don't know. She's a "master-level"
practitioner and couldn't give a good explanation. Don't get me
wrong, she's one of the nicest people I've met...good intentioned
to
the core. She was also a Transcendental Meditation teacher for
many
years as well, whatever that's worth. From everything I've read
about Reiki, I still don't quite understand it.
S: When the practitioner is doing massage or Reiki, intention is
placed somewhere
which means there is a sense of doership. This takes effort
on the part of the
practitioner and is a drain on energy. Also, holding intention
or a sense of
doership dams up the energy... the results are more
scattered energy... kind
of like the effects of a light bulb compared to a laser beam. In
the former the
light is dispersed.. more widespread and weak.. whereas the
latter, the light is
direct, potent and even flowing.. much more effective at
breaking up blockages
which is just stuck energy. Once these blocks are softened
and dissolved
consciousness is allowed to expand. It is unatural to place
intention when doing
the work and requires a holding of energy.. this does not
come up with still mind
therefore the practitioner is not drained of energy and the
receiver experiences
maximum benefits.
I know Zero Point is not Reiki, as Swami-G has pointed out
several
times...but was curious about the effects on the energy worker.
What
is the state of mind of the giver during this kind of work? Is it
one of intention, or from a point of stillness like meditation mind?
S: More like meditation mind or no-mind.
And how would this kind of work be explained to someone
without
confusing them or turn into a daylong seminar?
S: Please refer to the web-site kundalinihealing.com.
How would you explain
how it is that you're able to do this work and why someone else
would
not be able?
S: Anyone can learn the work. The energy work flows naturally
as sadhana
deepens. It is the outcome of deep spiritual work and
cleansing. It is best to
be connected to a Guru and make the work a part of the path.
It would seem that those who would be willing to have
the work done, would probably not be the traditional closed-off
type. I suppose it wouldn't go over very well with someone who
believes energy work is unGodly.
S: Well, getting the energy work done can break up this kind of
attitude. The work
benefits
everybody. Certainly the more open one is the more readily
the energy can be
absorbed. There have been some who have had negative
attitudes initially, but
open up once the benefits are experienced... increase well
being, decreased pain
etc... It has to be experienced.
I'm looking forward to gaining a better understanding. Hope you
don't mind all the questions. Have a great weekend.
S: Not a problem.
Namaste.
Thank you,
John
